Our History
In 1896, George Fennell entered the mechanical contracting business from a small shop in Newport, Kentucky. George H. Fennell & Company grew as they provided various services in the tri-state area, ranging from residential boiler replacements to commercial piping installations.
George’s son Clem Fennell continued the success his father had built in the commercial mechanical service world in what was now called Fennell Company. His son Clem Fennell Jr. became involved in the 1940’s following World War II. The 1950’s, 60’s and 70’s were a period of great growth for the company. Fennell Company became the premier commercial and industrial piping company in the Cincinnati area particularly in the power, utility, and chemical process piping sector.

The Founding of Process Construction Inc.
In the early 1980’s Clem Fennell Jr. along with his sons moved across the Ohio River to Cincinnati Ohio and began Process Construction Inc. The new company continued its heavy industrial piping successes. By the 1990’s Clem Fennell III had become President and the company continued to evolve with the ever-changing mechanical industry including the formation of our HVAC department. The 2000’s saw continued change and growth. Plumbing was added into our offering of services and customers began to expand into food and beverage, manufacturing, pharmaceutical and much more.

Grown in Cincinnati, Ohio
Today, PCI continues to operate as a small family business as Clem Fennell IV now oversees the day-to-day operations as President and our services continue to expand including the recent addition of our Fabricated Systems division which specializes in fabricated mechanical skids which are designed and built from start to finish in our Cincinnati shop.

PCI Services operates with the small business principles and values that were present when George H. Fennell Co began in the late 1800’s. We continue to grow by providing the quality services which have made our company a leader in its field. Our legacy is over a century old and the philosophy which guides the present organization has the same roots as those of our founder. We believe, just as those who came before us, that our relationship with our customer is the cornerstone of our success.

We have benefited greatly from our roots, and have grown into one of the largest industrial contractors in the Southwest Ohio, Northern Kentucky area, by establishing consistency of performance and a commitment to excellence.
